Armenia’s defense minister Davit Tonoyan rejected information about U.S. government’s demand to withdraw Armenians troops from Syria.

“This information does not correspond to reality,” Tonoyan said, speaking to reporters today.

He said no discussions have been conducted over the topic.

“We continue our humanitarian mission in Syria,” he said.

Referring to the blast in Lebanon where Armenian troops are carrying out peacekeeping mission, Tonoyan said that the Armenian peacekeepers are brought on the high level.

“They will do what their superior commands, there are no issues with our peacekeepers,” the minister said.
