Image result for Longtime journalist Mitch Kehetian dies at age 89

I met Mitch in early 1985 while he was working as managing editor at McComb Daily. The image that he projected the first time remained unchanged throughout the decades of our Long-distance friendship.
During one of our many conversations, he shared many stories. One story has been imprinted In my memory:
Mitch: One of my ’odar’ (non-Armenian) friends has asked me the other day: ”Why Armenians are so aggressively pursuing success and accomplishments?” I explained that “Armenians have lost so much, they have a lot of catching up to do.” (My note to my non-Armenian friends on social media:  As a direct result of the Turkish-executed 1915-1923 Armenian Genocide and Great Dispossession, Armenians have lost their entire homeland in Western Armenia and Armenian Cilicia as well as all their real and personal properties. That’s what the late Mitch was referring to.)
A good-hearted and a noble-spirited fellow Armenian, Mitch’s lucidity and enlightening persona; his relentless activism in and commitment to the pursuit of Justice for Armenians shall be venerated and emulated by all.
